Hailee Steinfeld is engaged to NFL player Josh Allen, but she’s staying pretty tight-lipped about the details of her actual wedding. Including whether or not the couple have set a date.
While promoting her upcoming movie Sinners, Steinfeld was asked about her wedding plans by ExtraTV. She responded coyly, “We are in the middle of a press tour. We got a movie coming out in 12 days? Six, something. We’re focused on that.” But that doesn’t mean we haven’t learned something!
Steinfeld and Allen announced the engagement on Instagram in November of 2024, with a dreamy pic from the elaborate, beachside proposal at sunset. Clearly Allen went all out before getting on one knee, staging the scene with dozens of candles and a whole flower-covered arch. The couple’s caption simply listed the date of the engagement, “11•22•24,” with infinity symbol emojis. Allen clearly spared no expense on the ring, either, which boasts an enormous, approximately 4-carat, round-cut diamond with a diamond infinity band.

The lovebirds have been together since 2023, but they didn’t even make their red carpet debut until after their engagement. They appeared together at the NFL Honors in February 2025, where Allen accepted the MVP award and gave his fiancé a shoutout from onstage. “You’ve been my rock, you’re my best friend. I would not be standing on the stage if it weren’t for you,” he said.
While Hailee Steinfeld hasn’t personally revealed many of her wedding plans, an inside source has told Us Weekly that the affair will be “very intimate but extravagant.” Said the source, “They don’t want a long engagement, and the wedding planning is already underway. Hailee is very excited about the planning process and now that Josh is done with the season, she hopes they can have more time to make decisions together.” They added, “They only have a few timeframes they can have the wedding, so they are nailing down the logistics and are location scouting right now.”
So, if the wedding won’t be before the Sinners promo tour is over, can’t be during the NFL season which starts training in late July, and the couple doesn’t want a long engagement…we’re looking at a possible May or June of 2025 wedding. You know, in case anyone was wondering.
