Johnny Gaudreau’s widow, Meredith Gaudreau, gave birth to their third child, seven months after the NHL player’s tragic death.

“I had our third baby! 4/1/25,” she wrote alongside hospital photos via Instagram on Monday. “Another baby boy.”

Meredith went on to introduce Carter Michael Gaudreau, noting that the infant has the “same middle name as his daddy.”

She continued, “8lb 3 ounces, 20.5 inches – exact same as his daddy. He looks exactly like his daddy too.

“I love you so much my baby!” Meredith concluded. “We are going to have so much fun. I can’t wait to give you the best life, my special boy forever.”

In the sweet snaps, Meredith posed with her and Johnny’s eldest two children: daughter Noa, 2, and son Johnny, 1.

In one shot, Carter slept with a framed photo of his parents set up beside his bassinet.

Meredith announced in September 2024 that she was pregnant with baby No. 3 while honoring her late partner with a eulogy.

“We’re actually a family of five,” she revealed at Johnny’s funeral. “I’m in my ninth week of pregnancy with our third baby. A total surprise.”

She recalled the late athlete’s “beaming” and “excited” reaction to the news.

Johnny and his brother, Matthew Gaudreau, died in August 2024 after being hit by a suspected drunk driver during a bike ride.

The siblings were killed on the eve of their sister Katie Gaudreau’s wedding.

Matthew’s wife, Madeline Gaudreau, was also pregnant at the time of the brothers’ deaths and welcomed son Tripp in December 2024.

“Mommy & Daddy’s world,” she captioned the newborn’s Instagram debut last year.

Madeline celebrated Carter’s arrival on her Story on Monday, calling her “second nephew … Tripp’s best friend.”
