“The Bachelor” alum Clayton Echard called out his ex Gabby Windey for “bullying” him over his physical appearance and dance videos.
Echard posted an Instagram video Sunday saying that his new hobby has given him “so much self-love and self-confidence.”
“I’m truly so grateful to have found something [where] I get to work on myself every day and challenge myself,” he said. “I’m not the greatest at it, and I’m aware of that. I’m not delusional, but it’s me versus me every single day. I get in that studio, and it’s movement therapy. It’s allowed me to release a lot of my anger and frustrations.”
The Season 26 lead said his dance moves have “inspired other people to get the courage to step out of their comfort zones and try something new,” so they are “harmless.”
“Gabby, what you’re doing is bullying. There’s no other way around it,” he continued. “You’re attacking me for my physical appearance. You’re attacking me for a passion that I love that’s changed my life. It’s unnecessary, and it’s not funny.”
Echard, 31, expressed that seeing Windey, 34, use her “large platform” to set a “really bad example” was “disheartening.”
“So, do better Gabby,” he reiterated.
The “Beyond the Cover” podcast host ended his video by saying, “I haven’t talked to you in three years, and you continue to take shots at me, and it’s just unnecessary. So, I hope you do better, and I hope I don’t have to make videos like this, but I do believe accountability should be had.”
Windey has yet to publicly respond to Echard’s post.
The “Traitors” alum made the harsh comments on the “Las Culturistas” podcast last week, calling her ex a “toe-looking ass, skinny jean-wearing” guy.
“Have you seen his dancing videos? Oh my God, they will make you run. I’m going to send you one, and you [will] wish you didn’t have eyes,” she told co-hosts Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers.
Windey joked that she “manipulated herself” into falling in love with Echard on “The Bachelor” in 2022 and only “escaped” by the “skin of [her] teeth.”
After starring as a co-“Bachelorette” with Rachel Recchia later that year, Windey came out as a lesbian in 2023 and married comedian Robby Hoffman in January.
