(WHNT) — Severe weather moved through the Tennessee Valley late Saturday night and into Sunday morning, leaving damage and power outages.
As storms moved through overnight, several counties were left with damage and without power.
As of 11:32 p.m. Saturday, Florence Utilities said electric department crews were responding to a power outage affecting customers in Waterloo, Center Star, Elgin and Rogersville areas in Lauderdale County. The utility company said the cause of the outage is unknown at this time.
As of 1:11 a.m. Florence Utilities’ outage map was reporting 3.9 thousand customers without power throughout the county.
Sheffield Utilities was reporting 5920 customers without power on its outage map as of 1:35 a.m. Sunday morning.
As of 12:26 a.m., the City of Athens said Athens Utilties is responding to power outage reports scattered throughout the Limstone County. The largest outage is in the area of Huntsville Brownferry Road, Mooreville Road and Greenbrier Road.
Joe Wheeler EMC said it is dealing with power outages throughout Morgan and Lawrence Counties. The company’s outage map is reporting 44 customers without power in Lawrence County and 396 customers without power in Morgan County.
