Masters Tournament week is here, and the golf world is swirling around the Augusta National Golf Club. While there are still four rounds of hard golf to be played, many fans are already predicting who will win the first major of the season.
According to FanDuel, Scottie Scheffler has the best odds at +400. It would be the third Green Jacket for the World No. 1. Should he win, he would become just the fourth player in history to successfully defend his title (Jack Nicklaus in 1966, Nick Faldo in 1990 and Tiger Woods in 2005).
Scheffler is coming off a late start to the season due to a hand injury suffered on Christmas Day 2024. He is winless so far, but has finished in the top 25 in all six tournaments he has played. That includes a runner-up finish (Houston Open) and two other top-10s.
Rory McIlroy (+650) has the second strongest odds to win the Masters, according to FanDuel. The World No. 2 has been the best player this season with two wins and four top 20s in six tournaments worldwide.
Jon Rahm (+1400) continues FanDuel’s 2025 Masters ranking. The Spaniard has had a remarkable run since joining LIV Golf and has not finished outside the top 10 in the 17 tournaments he has played so far. This includes two wins and the title of individual champion for the 2024 season.
Let’s take a deeper look at the Masters odds.

The Masters Tournament Predictions
As is the case almost every year, the Masters Tournament will be a hard-fought event and comfortable victories should not be expected. Last year, Scottie Scheffler ran away from the field on Sunday. Do not expect that trend to continue.
But there is still plenty of trends to look at and make some cash.
Top 10: Scottie Scheffler
The defending champion has only finished outside the top 10 once, during his Masters debut (2021, T19). Two wins and another top-10 finish round out his experience at Augusta National.
He is currently -175 to finish inside the top 10. Those are not bad odds considering his level of play this season (finished top 25 in every event thus far), and his track record at Augusta National.
Laying less than 2-to-1 that he is in the running sounds like a solid bet.
First Round Leader at 30-to-1
It is obviously quite difficult to predict who will be leading after Thursday’s opening round at Augusta National.
But that makes it paramount that bettors are able to decipher value. In order to do that this week, you need to be in tune with a player’s current form.
Both Bryson DeChambeau and Collin Morikawa are currently going off the board at +3000 to hold the lead after Round 1.
DeChambeau loves this course, has nearly won it in the past, and is coming off a strong finish at LIV Golf Miami.
Meanwhile, Morikawa has played stellar golf this season. If not for a bit of bad luck, he probably wins the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
At 30-to-1, this is a bet I’ll be making for both players.
Making the Cut: Tommy Fleetwood
It is not always easy to find, but there are some outlets that allow bets on making the cut. If you fancy a player to do so, look no further than Tommy Fleetwood, who would be away from the elite tier odds.
Fleetwood has missed the cut just once in eight Masters Tournament appearances, and that came in his debut (2017). A year ago, his best career finish came at Augusta National, where he tied for third.
During the current season, the Englishman has been solid, with five top 25s in as many starts on the PGA Tour. Without a doubt, it is safe to predict that he will make the cut at Augusta.
Winner: Rory McIlroy +650
Among the top favorites, there is no other player with a better record during the current season than the Northern Irishman. His confidence must be at an all-time high after winning the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and The PLAYERS Championship.
McIlroy has come close to winning The Masters on several occasions, and his ability to handle the pressure at key moments could be the deciding factor in his fate at the 2025 edition.
He only needs to win the tournament one in six tries for you to profit. Considering his form, desire and desperation, I think this might be his time.
Take that +650 to the bank.
