Val Kilmer’s kids are addressing his tragic death.

The “Top Gun” star’s two children — daughter Mercedes, 33, and son Jack, 29 — released a statement Thursday about their wish to “grieve privately.”

The siblings thanked fans for “honoring [their] extraordinary father’s memory,” telling People how “proud” they are of the late actor.

“We are so … honored to see his legacy celebrated,” the duo noted.

Kilmer’s eldest child broke the news of her dad’s passing on Tuesday, telling the New York Times that the “Batman Forever” star died of pneumonia.

Later that same evening, Mercedes was photographed being consoled by her mom, Joanne Whalley, in West Hollywood, Calif.

Kilmer and his ex-wife, 63, welcomed their baby girl in 1991, followed by Jack in 1995.

The former couple were married from 1988 to 1996.

Mercedes and Jack are currently planning their father’s funeral, sources told TMZ Wednesday.

The outlet also reported that Kilmer was hospitalized earlier this year, although the reason behind his stay is unknown at this time.

Kilmer had been low on energy and bedridden for years following a throat cancer battle, insiders claimed.

The “frail” Grammy nominee was diagnosed in 2014 but was cancer-free at the time of his death.

The two tracheotomies Kilmer underwent during chemotherapy and radiation therapy, however, robbed him of the ability to speak.

Notably, artificial intelligence aided Kilmer’s 2022 speaking role in “Top Gun: Maverick.”

When co-star Tom Cruise broke his silence on Kilmer’s death Thursday, the 62-year-old called the late star a “dear friend.”
