As the deadline for the TikTok ban nears in the U.S., the social media platform’s parent company has been looking at deals to divest its controlling ownership of the app. More and more bidders are coming out of the woodwork, with Amazon being the most recent to place a bid. Now, OnlyFans founder Tim Stokely is throwing his hat in the ring with a group of interested investors.

Stokely, who left OnlyFans in 2021, has a new social media startup called Zoop. As per Reuters, Zoop “rewards both creators and their community members for their engagement.” With the help of Hbar Foundation which teamed up with Stokely on Zoop and manages the Hedera cryptocurrency network, the two have put in a join bid for TikTok. Stokely’s last minute bid is amongst others which include Oracle and private-equity firm Blackrock’s deal. Additional bids for TikTok come from the former Los Angeles Dodgers owner Frank McCourt.

Zoop co-founder RJ Phillips told Reuters, “Our bid for TikTok isn’t just about changing ownership, it’s about creating a new paradigm where both creators and their communities benefit directly from the value they generate.” President Trump is expected to meet with advisors regarding the next step for TikTok following the April 5 deadline.
