The White Lotus star Tayme Thapthimthong, best known for playing the resort’s bumbling security guard Gaitok, has apparently been harboring a secret talent!
The actor broke out into song during an interview with his on-screen love interest and real-life pop star Lalisa Manobal – better known as BLACKPINK’s Lisa – while doing promo for The White Lotus. Thapthimthong delivered an impressive rendition of Blackstreet and Dr. Dre’s 1996 bop “No Diggity” that initially left Lisa – and their fans at home – stunned. But it was no time at all until Lisa began dancing along.
When he paused his singing, Lisa even spurred him to continue. “Where’s the hook?! I need the hook!” she demanded before she began singing along with him.
Fans at home were not only shocked to learn Thapthimthong could sing so well, but many were also disappointed that he didn’t get to show off his skills on The White Lotus Season 3.
“WHERE TF WAS THIS SCENE IN WHITE LOTUS,” one viewer demanded on X.
Some viewers even took the opportunity to tease Thapthimthong about his character’s unfortunate storyline on the show. The Thai actor plays a security guard at the resort who struggles to actually stop crimes from happening on the premises.

Others noted that Lisa and Thapthimthong seemed to be having quite a bit of fun together on this press tour, considering their characters are quite reserved and timid around each other in the show.
“I wish they could’ve made their characters Gaitok & Mook interact with each other like this!” one fan commented. “In every interview their chemistry is amazing!”
Fans will finally get to see how Gaitok and Mook’s storyline will conclude when the highly anticipated White Lotus Season 3 finale airs this weekend.
The episode is reportedly an hour and 30 minutes long, which means it will hopefully answer most of our questions about this season’s eclectic cast of characters.
The season finale of The White Lotus premieres Sunday on HBO at 9/8c.
