Ariana DeBose appeared to turn on her “West Side Story” co-star Rachel Zegler by sharing a shady post about the embattled actress’s “narcissism” — only to immediately take it back.

The Academy Award winner had fans speculating how she really felt about the “Snow White” star after reposting a quote on her Instagram feed Tuesday that read, “Narcissism is not something to be coddled or encouraged.”

The since-deleted upload was a direct quote by Jonah Platt, the son of “Snow White” producer Marc Platt, slamming Zegler’s “narcissism.”

DeBose, 34, quickly took down the post and took to her Instagram Stories to express her regret.

“I post quotes all the time and thought this one was meaningful. Will fully cop to the fact I did not do any research on where this quote came from, nor did I know of the connection until it was pointed out to me,” she wrote Tuesday evening — notably without offering an apology to Zegler, 23.

“I have no intention of inserting myself into a news cycle,” she continued. “This is not the first time I’ve posted about dealing with narcissism and it probably won’t be the last, but next time I’ll be sure to clarify its origins first.”

Page Six reached out to Zegler’s rep for comment but did not immediately hear back.

Jonah, 38, slammed the “Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes” actress in an explosive rant last week after her live-action adaptation of “Snow White” flopped at the box office.

After a netizen labeled his father “creepy as hell” for flying to New York City to chat with Zegler about her political social media posts, Jonah wrote, “Yeah, my dad, the producer of [an] enormous piece of Disney IP with hundreds of millions of dollars on the line, had to leave his family to fly across the country to reprimand his 20-year-old employee for dragging her personal politics into the middle of promoting the movie…”

The “Being Jewish” podcast host went on to note that Zegler had “signed a multi-million dollar contract” to star in and promote “Snow White.”

“This is called adult responsibility and accountability,” he continued, adding that her “actions clearly hurt the film’s box office.”

Jonah also argued that “free speech does not mean you’re allowed to say whatever you want in your private employment without repercussions” before accusing Zegler of making the cast and crew collateral damage.

“Tens of thousands of people worked on that film and she hijacked the conversation for her own immature desires at the risk of all the colleagues and crew and blue collar workers who depend on that movie to be successful,” he said. “Narcissism is not something to be coddled or encouraged.”

Ahead of last month’s premiere of “Snow White,” Zegler became a focal point for her polarizing social media activity.

Following the 2024 presidential election, she posted “F–k Donald Trump” and “May Trump supporters … never know peace” online.

And months before that, she celebrated the “Snow White” teaser trailer’s success before signing off the viral post, “and always remember, free palestine.”

Variety reported that Marc, 67, was forced to confront Zegler and encourage her to work with a social media guru. The actress also apologized for her comments.

However, this caused further tension behind the scenes, as Disney was forced to beef up security for her co-star Gal Gadot, who allegedly received death threats for her support of Israel.
