Hermès has unveiled a range of watches at this year’s Watches & Wonders event. Joining the world of Haute Horlogerie with the advanced craftsmanship of the watchmaking artistry, Hermès offers a selection of pieces led by the the Arceau Le temps suspendu, Hermès Cut Le temps suspendu and Maillon libre. These models act as the three new creations to extend the French luxury house’s line of watches. Architectural shapes emerge to deliver a contemporary and timeless design vocabulary for these wristpieces that reveal Hermès fragments throughout.
Hermès Cut Le Temps Suspendu
Last revealed in 2024, the Hermès Cut collection arrives in 39mm rose gold casing. Playful with its sharp yet bold geometry, each time piece is powered by the Manufacture Hermès H1912 movement. The Hermès Cut Le temps suspendu watch is designed to disrupt reference points and create unusual spaces. It will be made available in several versions, including a one-shot model with a red dial.
Arceau Le Temps Suspendu
Reinterpreting the 2011 model, the Arceau Le temps suspendu is delivered in a sleek 42mm case frame featuring an openworked dial that reveals the exclusive “Time suspended” module. Each of the watches utilize the Manufacture Hermès H1837 movement which can be seen through the transparent caseback. The watches arrive in a white and rose gold casing and paired with one of three dial colors — sunburst blue, brun désert, rouge sellier. A main highlight of the watch is the asymmetrical lugs.
Maillon Libre Watch & Brochee
For the dressier watch lover, the Maillon libre collection continues Hermès’ exploration of timepieces as high luxury accessories. The collection sees a reinterpretation of the iconic anchor chain link as a wristwatch and a brooch watch. The two wrist pieces can be worn multiple ways, creating a contrasting softness and tension that brings in a contemporary aesthetic. The singular wristwatch has a highlighted complex structure, featuring diamonds or terracotta tourmaline centre stones. With a bracelet design, it adds a playful and elegant look to the watch. As for the brooch pendant, it offers a more masculine perspective that can be worn on its own or transformed thanks to its leather cordlet.
Arceau Rocabar de Rire
Limited to just 12 pieces, the piece features a equestrian motif, with a playful animation, engraving and miniature painting. The dial reinterprets the mischievous horse imagined by Dimitri Rybaltchenko for the Rocabar de rire silk scarf, making it extra Hermès coded. The whimsical and cheerful image of the horse comes to life with its prankster tongue. Hours, minutes and the “on-demand impulse” function are driven by the Manufacture Hermès H1837 movement, enabling the finishing and the all over branding adorning its bridges and oscillating weight to be visible through the sapphire crystal case-back. The watch features an alligator strap that highlights the anthracite, red and straw-coloured shades of the dial.
Arceau l’heure de la lune
First unveiled in 2019, the Arceau L’heure de la lune watch is also available for a llimited 12 pieces. Arriving in Blue Grey Moon, Vest and Erg, the watches are two-toned with the cases and lugs made with a different set of materials than the hour-markers which match the dials. One version arrives in white gold and blue titanium with a dial crafted from a piece of lunar rock. Another sees a rose gold and titanium iteration with a dial composed of a fragment from one of the largest known asteroids: Vesta. As for the third interpretation, it arrives in a white and rose gold with a fragment of Erg Chech meteorite, a magmatic rock testifying to a now vanished heavenly body. Each of the pieces have a matte alligator leather strap to match the watches.
Arceau Le Temps Voyageur
Originally created in 2022, the Arceau Le temps voyageur appears in two iterations, in white and rose gold. With a 24-time zone display that indicates the home time at the 12 o’clock mark and the mobile counter, the local time. This mechanism is driven by an exclusive 122-component module integrated into the Manufacture Hermès H1837 mechanical self-winding movement. The treatment of the dial consists of the Planisphère d’un monde équestre motif designed by Jérôme Colliard where the continents create an unprecedented depth effect.
