In just three weeks, Adolescence has become one of Netflix‘s most popular series of all time.
The limited series amassed another 30.4M views from March 24 to 30, putting it at 96.7M views since its debut. That was good enough to land at No. 9 on the all-time Most Popular English TV list, bumping Bridgerton Season 2 from the list altogether and pushing Stranger Things 3 to tenth place.
It’s very likely that Adolescence will continue to climb the most popular list, considering that the No. 7 and 8 spots (The Night Agent Season 1 and Fool Me Once, respectively) are both sitting around 98M views. Adolescence will likely have surpassed both titles by this time next week, and may even soar higher. Third through sixth place on the list are all in the low 100M+ view range, which is perfectly achievable for Adolescence, since it still has 72 days in its premiere window to amass these views.
Per Netflix, Adolescence has been a hit all over the globe, making its way into the weekly Top 10 in all 93 countries the chart is available.
Shonda Rhimes’ The Residence came in second place on the weekly English TV list, putting up 8.8M views in its first full week on the streamer. While that’s a bit of a lift from its premiere weekend, it continues to be a bit of an underwhelming performance for the whodunit. It’s unclear if this performance will earn a renewal from Netflix.
Netflix’s latest reality offering Million Dollar Secret came in at No. 3 with 3.7M views, while Monday night’s episode of Raw came in fourth place. Running Point was down to sixth place this week with 2.3M views. Chelsea Handler debuted a new comedy special titled Chelsea Handler: The Feeling to 1.6M views, putting it at No. 10 on the list.
As for the film side of things, The Life List soared to first place with 24.4M views. Meanwhile, The Electric State is still chugging along, coming in second place with 7.6M views. At this point, it seems as though the Russo brothers’ latest film will not be making it onto Netflix’s Most Popular film list, as it’s failed to keep any sort of momentum since release.
