Mikey Madison is yet another Hollywood actor with a non-famous twin—but hers just got a bit more high profile.
On March 30, the Oscar-winning star of Anora made her Saturday Night Live debut alongside her twin brother, Miles. “Actually, my twin brother is here to support me,” she told the audience. “Let’s see if you can guess which one of these guys is my twin brother.”
The camera then panned to four men with deep brunette hair and dark eyes…and one tall redhead. “If you guessed the one who looks like Ron Weasley on testosterone, you win,” Mikey joked.
Though Mikey Madison has four siblings, she refers to Miles as her “closest friend” and even brought him as her plus one to the Academy Awards in March. During the Vanity Fair after-party, Miles told Deadline he is listed as one-minute older than Mikey on his birth certificate, though his parents claim they were “plucked out” at the same time to avoid arguments about which twin is older.
Earlier that evening, his sister won the Oscar for best actress in Anora, which swept up five Academy Awards of its own, including best picture. “Thank you to my incredible family, my mum, and my dad and my sister, and my little brother, and my twin brother Miles,” she said in her acceptance speech. “Thank you for being my best friend, not that you have a choice.”
Before the film’s success, however, Mikey was “nervous” about her loved ones’ response to the film. “I was nervous about my family seeing it because you want them to like your work,” Mikey told USA Today in November 2024. “My twin is my closest friend, so I was able to ask him, ‘Did you like it? Do you think I’m a good actor?’ “
According to Mikey, Miles “was speechless when he saw it for the first time,” telling her, “I didn’t see you at all; I just saw the character.” She added, “Coming from him, that was really special to hear.”
Clearly, these two have come a long way since Miles would “pretend that we weren’t siblings,” as she told W Magazine in January. “At some point, I grew into myself a bit more. But for a long time, I was the weird horse girl,” she said, noting her brother has “since apologized.”
