The Red Wings are coming off a 4-3 loss to the Ottawa Senators. The team trailed 3-0 before Patrick Kane’s power-play goal in the third period finally got the team on the board. It was his 19th goal of the season. After another Ottawa score, Detroit mounted a failed late comeback, with Lucas Raymond and Vladimir Tarasenko each scoring goals in the third period.
The Bruins look to rebound from a 6-2 loss to the Ducks. Davis Pastrnak scored his 35th goal of the season in the loss, and Morgan Geekie added a late goal and an assist on Pastrnak’s goal, but other than that, it was all Anaheim.
These teams last met in December, with the Bruins winning 3-2 in overtime. Pavel Zacha scored the winning goal off a Pastrnak assist. The other meeting of the season also went Boston’s way with a 2-1 win in November.
