Jennifer Lawrence’s Adidas Sambas days are long behind her.
On March 28, the Oscar-winning actor brushed off yet another pair of slim-fit retro sneakers after cosigning the popular trend back in October. In these latest pics, however, Lawrence was in full spring mode, pairing a white Prada slip skirt with a white t-shirt and butter yellow shirt jacket by Jil Sanders. She took a break from leopard print this outing, carrying a vintage Fendi zebra-striped backpack in pristine condition.
Working double-duty to give the look a pop of color and a sporty kick, Lawrence finished off her ensemble with a pair of slim white Adidas Tokyo sneakers with red stripes. She tied the shoes into the rest of the look with Sophie Buhai’s carnelian pendant on a vegan leather cord. To witness this masterclass in eclectic spring dressing, you can see the photo here.

Her Adidas Tokyo sneakers, which are inspired by ‘70s running shoes and retail for $90, have an ultra-thin sole and fit very similarly to the black Puma Speedcats Lawrence broke out in October. Glamour’s own commerce editor Jake Henry Smith has since declared this “ultra-skinny style” one of the top sneaker trends of 2025.
Jennifer Lawrence seems to agree. Earlier this month, Lawrence opted for another slim Adidas style, stepping out in a pair of black Taekwondo sneakers.
Of course, Lawrence always prefers footwear with the thinnest sole possible, often stepping out in The Row’s barely-there flats and favoring the luxury brand’s grounded slip-on clogs over trendier platform Uggs. Clearly, she’s found the perfect style of sneaker to fit that same aesthetic and she’s building a strong collection.
