While womenswear runways turn towards old-school menswear for bold colors and powerful silhouettes, designers like Simone Rocha are creating menswear that borrows from women, presenting a lighter, more romantic touch. Originally debuting on the Fall/Winter 2025 runway, the London-based designer just released this season’s full menswear lookbook, and it’s filled with subtly updated childhood classics.
Inspired by the timeless adage of “The Tortoise & The Hare,” Rocha’s collection elevates child-like joy into editorial whimsy. Time slows as the designer stops to enjoy her reflection. No age is too old for a faux-fur stuffed animal companion, especially when it can double as this season’s fuzziest accessory, the stole. Bike locks are playfully repurposed as belts cinching knit vests, wool overcoats, and pleated trousers.
More like the tortoise and less like the hare, nothing in the looks feels too abrupt. Ruffled varsity polos melt seamlessly into grade-school-inspired pleated shorts that fall just at the knee, and beaded rabbit embroideries pair nicely with the collection’s “collection” of intricate buttons.
Though graciously adorned, the outerwear silhouettes take a more relaxed approach. From a fur-trimmed jacket to an oversized leather bomber, Rocha continues to offer an impeccable selection to her growing menswear consumer base.
You can expect these pieces to drop later this year. In the meantime, check out the full Simone Rocha Menswear FW25 lookbook in the gallery above, and stay tuned to Hypebeast for more updates.
