EXCLUSIVE: Ganesh Rajaram is leaving his role as Fremantle‘s CEO of Asia and Latin America.

We can reveal the long-serving exec, who was based at Fremantle’s Singapore office, is leaving to take “a career break,” and is not being replaced.

Jennifer Mullin, Fremantle’s CEO, will resume responsibilities for India and Indonesia at the Got Talent and Pop Idol producer, and takes on responsibility for Latin America.

“I have been lucky enough to personally work closely with Ganesh for the last couple of years and would like to thank him for all his incredible work and achievements across his 20-year tenure,” said Mullin. “On behalf of myself, and friends and colleagues around the world at Fremantle, I would like to say a huge thank you to Ganesh for all his contributions and wish him the best for his future endeavors.”

“After 20 amazing years at Fremantle, it is now the right time for me to take a step back from my career to focus on my family,” added Rajaram. “I would like to take the opportunity to personally thank Jen, the GLT, the Asian and Lat Am production teams and my FMI colleagues. It has been a great ride and there have been too many wonderful moments over two decades to mention them all.

“More than anything, what I will miss most about Fremantle are the people and priceless relationships – something hard to find any place else. I wish you all the very best and look forward to seeing Fremantle’s continued success – albeit from a beach with my wife and son.”

Rajaram was elevated into his current position in December 2022, adding Lat Am to his responsibilities, with Haryaty Rahman also promoted to take his EVP, Sales role. She remains with the company, we understand.

In January, Fremantle Mexico promoted Johanna Helman to Managing Director and Head of Latin America Production, reporting to Rajaram.
