Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s forthcoming nuptials are already being touted as the “wedding of the century,” and with good reason.

The billionaire and his bride-to-be are reportedly sparing no expense to ensure their A-list guests are blown away by their wedding weekend in Venice, Italy, set to take place in June.

According to one local report, via the Daily Mail, “The event … will take place aboard their $500 million megayacht, Koru, anchored in the Venetian Lagoon.”

While Koru is said to sleep a relatively modest 18 people in nine cabins, it’s still the largest masted yacht ever built, measuring more than 415 feet in length.

However, other sources said the massive ship is only “involved” in the wedding, perhaps functioning as a water taxi or the venue for other festivities.

Per the Daily Mail, one “perfectly placed friend” insisted, “I promise you the wedding is not on the boat.”

Due to regulations designed to protect Venice, a boat of that size would have to anchor in the Arsenale area, which lacks the beauty possessed by other parts of the canal-lined city.

“All the money in the world cannot change those regulations,” one observer explained, according to the Daily Mail. “There’s no way that you want to wake up in Venice and not be looking out on to the Grand Canal.”

The outlet further noted that two of the city’s best hotels, the Gritti Palace and Aman Venice, are completely booked from June 26 to June 29.

Rooms at both hotels reportedly start at $3,200 a night and can cost up to almost ten times that amount, depending on the suite and the season.

“In preparation for the event, Venice is bracing for the arrival of VIPs. The city’s top luxury hotels have already been booked, and reports say the entire fleet of water taxis will be made available to shuttle guests across the canals. The logistics point to a highly exclusive, tightly coordinated celebration,” a local news site reported, per the Daily Mail.

“Choosing Venice is more than a romantic gesture — it’s a nod to the couple’s shared history with the city, which they’ve frequently visited during their relationship. … The wedding is poised to be a defining social event of 2025, not only for the couple but for Venice itself.”

A source told the Daily Mail last month, “You won’t miss this one when it happens.”

Sánchez — who will take a trip to space in May aboard one of Bezos’ rockets — is believed to have chosen an Oscar de la Renta dress with input from Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.

Bezos, 61, proposed to Sánchez, 55, aboard Koru in May 2023 after five years of dating.

Experts told Page Six at the time that the 20-carat diamond ring the Amazon founder gave the former broadcast journalist was estimated to be worth a whopping $2.5 million.

The couple appropriately celebrated their engagement on the same megayacht in Positano, Italy, in August 2023 with a gaggle of famous faces, many of whom are sure to be present for their big day.

They two began dating in 2019; however, they avoided being seen together publicly until after their respective divorces were finalized.
