Bella Hadid put the low-rise jeans away during her most recent New York City outing.

On March 25, the master of the Western aesthetic added a somewhat preppy twist to her look, courtesy of sister Gigi Hadid’s knitwear brand, Guest In Residence. But first, let’s talk about her jeans.

The 28-year-old model, who has recently been favoring flared denim silhouettes, abandoned tight low-rise jeans for a high-waisted, wide-leg option with a slightly tapered hem. She styled her subtle barrel jeans by leaning into her ranch-girl aesthetic, pairing the medium-wash denim with a brown cowboy boot and a wide leather belt with a golden buckle.

However, she elevated the look with an everyday essential, layering a white cashmere cardigan over a simple white tank top.

The Collegiate Cardigan by Guest In Residence sells for $495, though we have to imagine Bella secured some sort of family discount. While the look can easily be mimicked with other soft knits— like Abercrombie & Fitch’s textural crew cardigan, which is 90% cotton and currently 25% off—there’s something about a soft cashmere cardigan that perfectly contrasts a rigid pair of classic jeans.

Matching the tank top to her cardigan was the key to creating a pulled-together, cohesive look that appeared effortless, especially when paired with warm brown accessories that add touches of interest without pulling focus.

Though Bella has been known to tote around relatively attainable It bags (like the Coach Empire Carryall 34 that I immediately added to my wish list), she opted to finish off her look with Valentino’s soft suede shopping bag featuring grommet and silver-stud embellishments, proving the best-dressed women aren’t worried about mixing metals in spring 2025.

While Coach has been a go-to brand for Bella Hadid in recent months, she recently wore another variation of the Valentino Garavani Nellcôte collection, brandishing the beige suede shoulder bag with fringe back in November 2024. All this to say, brown suede accessories and jackets are not getting any less popular through spring-summer 2025, especially as Western and ’70s trends rage on.

Bella Hadid’s latest outfit is the perfect blueprint for embracing these trends without getting into costume territory—though she obviously enjoys going full Daisy Duke and Penny Lane when the mood strikes. It’s called range.
