Banijay United French Scripted Arms
Banijay’s French arm is uniting subsidiaries Banijay Studios France and Shine Fiction under one roof. Going forwards, they will operate as Shine Fiction and be led by Chairman Dominique Farrugia and Chief Operating Officer Guillaume Thouret. Shine Fiction is behind dramas such as Apple TV+ series Carême, which is a major attraction at this week’s Series Mania in Lille. The producer also makes Marie Antoinette, whose second season recently debuted its second series on Canal+ and the upcoming comedy-crime series The Family Detective and thriller Rien ne t’efface for TF1, and coming-of-age drama Désenchantées for France Télévisions. Among Shine France’s producer ranks are Chanelle Bernard, Stéphanie Chartreux, Carole Della Valle and Soizic Gelbard.
Prime Video Readies ‘Chhorii 2′ For April

Prime Video will release Indian horror thriller Chhorii 2 on April 11. According to the streamer, “the sequel promises to push the boundaries of supernatural horror, fear, and suspense with a riveting tale of a mother’s battle against paranormal forces and societal evils.” Vishal Furia is the director for the film, which is from T-Series, Abundantia Entertainment, Psych and Tamarisk Lane Production. Pic stars Nushrratt Bharuccha, who reprises her role as Sakshi, alongside the newly cast Soha Ali Khan. Also appearing will be Gashmeer Mahajani, Saurabh Goyal, Pallavi Ajay, Kuldeep Sareen and Hardika Sharma. Chhorii 2 will roll out across the Prime Video footprint, which spans 240 territories.
‘Strawberry Shortcake’, ‘Teletubbies‘ FAST Channels Hit Europe
Canadian kids and family entertainment firm WildBrain had launched FAST channels across Europe for franchises such as Teletubbies, Strawberry Shortcake and Degrassi. In Italy, LG Channels has launched a channel for Sonic, and a Strawberry Shortcake offering in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In France, TCL Channel and Rakuten TV have rolled out Degrassi channels, with the former also launching a Strawberry Shortcake net. Additionally, TCL Channel has launched Teletubbies and Strawberry Shortcake channels in Spain and Portugal. In the UK, LG Channels is getting Strawberry Shortcake, Sonic, Super Mario, Slugterra, Rev & Roll and Rainbow Ruby channels. WildBrain has now rolled out more than 150 FAST worldwide.
