From the mind that brought you “strawberry girl summer,” cosigned “latte makeup,” and kicked off glazed donut everything comes another juicy look for spring-summer 2025. “BERRY BLUSH,” the 28-year-old Rhode founder captioned two new fresh-faced selfies on Instagram, wearing a summery straw hat and a natural flush of color across her cheeks and the bridge of her nose.
While the look may appear similar to the strawberry makeup look Bieber pushed hard in the summer of 2023, there’s a distinctly purple undertone to this particular berry-inspired look, which Bieber achieved with her new Rhode pocket blush shade “Plum.”

On the Rhode website, “Plum” is described as a “cool purple berry” shade, despite the fact that a plum is not actually a berry. You know which fruit is a berry and tends to be a reddish-purple on the inside? A blueberry! Which is the same fruit emoji Bieber paired with her Instagram caption. Blueberry blush is as easy to apply as Bieber’s other low-key makeup looks, based on the model’s most recent TikTok post. Though she didn’t provide an entire tutorial, one can imagine she starts with the same process as her strawberry girl makeup, relying on a base of Rhode’s Glazing Milk, cream bronzer, and a touch of concealer before going in with the purple-toned cream blush on her lips and cheeks.
Of course, purple blush is not a new concept and is very flattering on a variety of skin tones, so you definitely have other options for achieving this sheer, sun-kissed look. You may just need to go in with a light hand, depending on the formula and how pigmented you want the color to be. And if you’re looking for a warmer undertone, Rhode also offers the “warm red berry” shade “Date Cake.”

While Bieber applied her plum Rhode pocket blush directly to her skin before tapping it in with her fingers, you can also use a makeup blush for a deeper pop of color. It’s up to you if you want to add a smattering of faux freckles or not.

“I love everything that looks like you’ve bitten into a gorgeous piece of fruit or it just stained your lips,” Bieber told Glamour back in June 2024. “That’s what I love about the [Rhode pocket blush]; it kind of just gives that flush.”
