Heading into this game with the Trail Blazers, Denver is still dealing with some injuries. Star center Nikola Jokic, guard Jamal Murray, and forward Aaron Gordon have all landed on the injury report.
Jokic has missed the past few games due to some left ankle issues. The star center will once again miss this game as he has been ruled out of the contest.

Not having Jokic on the court drastically changes everything for the Nuggets as he is the engine for the team. The former MVP can score, pass, and rebound with the best of them in the NBA so his absence will again be felt.

As for Murray, he entered the game dealing with a right ankle sprain. The star guard was listed as questionable for the game and his status has been revealed. He is available after all.

Murray has been one of the better players for Denver this season and without Jokic, they need him on the floor. The guard is one of the more clutch players in the league so if the game gets tight toward the end, Denver feels confident with Murray on the court.
Gordon has been dealing with a lingering right calf injury as we head into this game. The forward was listed as probable for the contest and will play against the Trail Blazers tonight. He, too, will suit up.
The forward has been playing great of late, averaging 32 points over his past two games. With all the injuries hitting the Nuggets, Gordon has been a go-to player for the team.
Denver is in the midst of a tight battle within the Western Conference standings. They are looking to position themselves in the seeding and are currently within the top four of the conference.
Every game becomes much more important at this point of the NBA season. Portland is fighting for a postseason spot as well, potentially making this a very competitive game all around.
