Oklahoma is coming off a 2nd Round SEC Tournament loss to Kentucky, while UConn enters having lost their last game as well against Creighton in the Big East Tournament semifinals. Both teams have something to prove, and while they play in strong conferences, their double-digit losses are reflected by the March Madness seeds they received.
The Huskies have a long road ahead of them if they want to defend their 2024 NCAA Tournament championship. Solo Ball was a freshman on the title-winning team from a year ago and has stepped up his game now as a sophomore. Ball is averaging 14.6 points per game and is capable of heating up from three-point range. In their previous game, he scored 13 points on 5-9 from the field and 2-5 from distance.
Oklahoma’s Jeremiah Fears might be one of the most exciting players in the NCAA Tournament. The 6’4″ freshman led the team in scoring this season at 17 points per game while also adding over four rebounds and assists a night. He likes to set up his teammates but can turn into a volume shooter in a hurry if the situation calls for it. He has scored 28 and 29 points over the Sooners’ last two outings.
