Elon Musk is the most followed person on X, formerly known as Twitter, as well as being the site’s owner, and he is also one of the site’s most prolific users, often posting dozens of times a day, or sharing other people’s posts. Here’s what he has said in the last 24 hours:
What Has Musk Said on X Today?
In the last day, Musk has posted or reposted 59 times, with the majority of his posts being about news clips from Fox News and the President Donald Trump’s executive order to shut down the Department of Education, which was signed on Thursday.
Musk’s posts have been a combination of news about the Trump administration, updates on protests against Tesla and the vehicles it manufactures, and podcast clips about himself and Trump.
Musk also shared several graphics promoting Grok, the AI feature run through X, calling on followers to “just Grok it.”
The America PAC, which Musk started during the election to support Trump, started a petition to oppose judges who barred the administration’s actions, with Musk sharing a tweet that read: “Judges should interpret laws as written, not rewrite them to fit their personal or political agendas. Wisconsin registered voters receive $100 for signing the petition & $100 for each signer they refer.”
He also shared a post from conservative influencer LibsOfTikTok, which read: “Chuck Schumer admits the quiet part out loud— Democrat-appointed judges are really activists who are there to stop Trump.”
What Musk Has Said About DOGE
Musk reposted a statement from the Department of Government Efficiency that was responding to allegations from Democratic Senator Raphael Warnock closing down a Social Security site in Georgia.
He also later shared a clip of DOGE staffer Sam Corcos, a special adviser to the U.S. Treasury Department, speaking on Fox News about waste within the government.
Corcos said: “A typical midsize bank will have somewhere between 1 and 200 people in IT and they have an operations and maintenance budget in like the $20 million a year range. We have 8,000 people in IT, and our operations and maintenance budget is $3.5 billion a year. I don’t really know why yet.”
What Has The Reaction Been?
Musk’s most popular post of the last 24 hours was a clip of a SpaceX rocket returning to land at Vandenberg Space Force Base. The post received over 300 thousand likes in just one day.
