Following his explosive revelations in Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV, Drake Bell has reunited with Josh Peck for the first time.

The Drake & Josh alums sat down for an emotionally heartfelt discussion on an upcoming episode of Peck and Ben Soffer’s Good Guys podcast, which Bell prefaced in a trailer “is going to be like therapy.”

“I could never have known at that age all the things you were going through,” said Peck in the clip as he reflected on “the separation that happened between us,” noting that more than 20 years after the Nickelodeon show debuted, “I’m not quite sure we’ve ever sat down and talked.”

Watch on Deadline

In an excerpt People shared from the podcast, which airs on March 24, Peck discussed the bittersweet experience of being on a once-beloved show that has since become marred with scandal.

“You know what the show means to everyone,” he said. “You know that the moments that were great were great, and we were incredibly lucky to get to do this thing that we loved.”

Peck added, “But there’s also the truth of everything you went through and everything that was an experience for a kid that was unacceptable in so many ways and you’ve got to wrestle with this. I remember people would ask me about the show, and I would say, ‘Well, I lost a hundred pounds and had to get sober at 21. Did I seem happy?’ Like, it’s a bit of a sign.”

In Quiet on Set, which debuted last March on ID, Bell spoke for the first time about the abuse he suffered from his Nickelodeon dialogue coach/manager Brian Peck, which began during his time on The Amanda Show and continued into Drake & Josh‘s 2004-’07 run.

Brian Peck was arrested in 2003 on 11 charges, including sodomy, lewd act upon a child 14 or 15 by a person 10 years older and oral copulation by anesthesia or controlled substance, receiving 16 months and prison and being required to register as a sex offender. Bell was never publicly identified as the minor until the docuseries.
