EXCLUSIVE: Independent Artist Group has signed showrunner, writer and director Robert Munic in all areas.
Munic has created, executive produced and written multiple successful series including Power Book IV: Force on Starz, Ice for Direct TV and The Cleaner for A + E. In addition, Munic co-executive produced the Fox breakout hit Empire and a second series Star, both from Lee Daniels, which existed within the same universe.
Power Book IV: Force is the fourth installment of the “Power” Universe, created by Courtney A. Kemp, following the mothership series, Power Book II: Ghost and the prequel Power Book III: Raising Kanan. Created by Munic, Force is led by Joseph Sikora who reprises the OG series character Tommy Egan as he moves his business from New York to Chicago where he’s once again is ruffling feathers and finding his place in the city’s seedy underbelly. The series premiered in 2022 with a third and final season set to premiere later this year.
Munic is currently developing a high-profile pilot at Amazon set in a unique military world.

On the features side, Munic co-wrote the screenplay for the Channing Tatum-led crime drama Fighting released in 2009. Tatum starred as Shawn MacArthur, a small-time street hustler who sells counterfeit wares before being recruited to make money by participating in amateur street fights. He gets caught up in this underground world and wants out, but is it too late? Fighting also stars Luis Guzman, Terrence Howard and Zulay Henao.
