The main campaign arm for House Democrats beat its Republican counterpart in fundraising in February, a bright spot for Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries following intra-party discord over the recent government funding fight.

The Democrats Congressional Campaign Committee raised $11.1 million to $9.2 million for the National Republican Congressional Committee, according to reports filed Thursday with the Federal Election Commission.

This was the first full month reported since Donald Trump took office.

Rep. Suzan DelBene (D-WA), chair of the DCCC, said in a statement, “The American people are angry and fed up with House Republicans’ crusade to enact the largest cut to Medicaid in history and pledging fealty to Elon Musk’s ongoing effort to dismantle Social Security and gut the VA.” Jeffries, DelBene and Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA) were headliners at a Los Angeles fundraiser for Democrats on Wednesday.

In next year’s midterms, Democrats have their best chances at a return to power in the House, given Republicans’ slim majority and competitiveness of districts.

On the Senate side, the National Republican Senatorial Committee raised $7.9 million, while the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee raised $6.2 million.

The Democratic National Committee raised $9 million during the month, according to ABC News, in what the DNC said was driven by more than 200,000 donors with an average donation of less than $35. That compares to $7.2 million raised by the Republican National Committee, according to an FEC filing.
