Chrissy Teigen was surprised by how much backlash she received for taking a coconut milk bath with her children.

On Monday night’s (March 17) episode of Watch What Happens Live, Teigen responded to online critics more than one month after being dragged for posting a photo of herself bathing with kids Miles, 6, Esti, 2, and Wren, 1.

“Oh, my God! For some reason, as much as I hear it all the time — the criticisms — I’m always shocked,” she told host Andy Cohen. “I’m always like, ‘Oh, my God. I can’t believe that didn’t go over well!’ I will never get used to it. It’s so ridiculous.”

The model agreed with Cohen that people are “always” looking for things to be offended by, though added, “The thing that’s really healed within me is that I don’t care as much anymore. But my God! It’s so absurd. Like, they’re my babies!”

Teigen — who married Grammy Award-winning singer John Legend in 2013 — first raised eyebrows last month when she posted a photo of herself and three of their four kids in a bathtub together.

“Because of how strange she is in general, I won’t comment on how abnormal it is to bathe with her son who is in about the 3rd grade,” one social media user commented under the carousel of photos, while another added, “Cringe, kids deserve privacy too.”

Others called the photo “weird” and “creepy.”

When one user called Teigen out for “always [being] in dirty bathwater,” she clapped back, “It’s a coconut milk bath for sensitive skin but go off!”

While Teigen has since learned to brush off the outside voices, she told Cohen that it “took a lot” to get to that point.

Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
