EXCLUSIVE: Investigation Discovery and 5 (formerly Channel 5) are diving deep into the Lively v Baldoni saga via a fast-turnaround doc from ITN Productions (ITNP). Watch trailer below.

He Said, She Said: Blake Lively vs Justin Baldoni will air tonight on 5 before a shorter version titled In Dispute premieres on ID and Max at the end of March. Both networks have licensed from ITNP in a first for the pair.

The twisty-turny saga has dominated trade headlines through 2025. The special will examine the legal complaint brought against It Ends With Us director Baldoni by his co-star Lively, alleging he engaged in sexual misconduct on the set of his film and hired a PR firm to engage in an online smear campaign against her to keep her quiet. Baldoni denies the allegations and has responded with a $400M countersuit, accusing Lively of defamation.

With the trial set for March 2026, the special will examine the evidence on both sides and the response to the dispute on social media – a dispute that has at times felt almost impossible to keep track of, although we’ve done our very best.

ITNP recently made a fast-turnaround for Channel 4 on the L.A. wildfires. Blue Ant, which sold ITNP’s Matthew Perry: A Hollywood Tragedy, is shopping He Said, She Said globally.

ITNP international boss Ian Russell said: “Produced by ITN’s transatlantic team this special is a timely and in depth telling of the Hollywood story which has captured the global zeitgeist.”

Denise Seneviratne, Commissioning Editor at 5, added: “This story has captivated the world, perpetuated by social media which is still gaining momentum.  It feels really pertinent for us as a channel to be making this film within the context of #MeToo.”

The special is being executive produced for ITNP by Mike Griffiths in London and Bruce Kennedy in New York and was commissioned by Seneviratne at 5. Post-production is in-house with ITN Post.

Channel 5 rebranded to 5 last week, coupled with a showcase event during which splashy shows including a Holly Willoughby stalker doc were unveiled.
