It’s a match made on the putting green: Vanessa Trump, who was married to Donald Trump Jr. from 2005 to 2018, is reportedly dating pro golf legend Tiger Woods, with a source telling the New York Post that “it’s not too serious, it’s heading in that direction, though.”
How does an ex-model with one of the most controversial last names in the country even cross paths with a 15-time masters winner? Like many relationships formed in adulthood, the answer might be as simple as “our kids go to school together and we got to talking.”
Vanessa is mother to five children with her ex-husband, including Kai Trump, the 17-year-old golfing phenom who has already committed to joining the University of Miami’s team after she graduates high school. Tiger is a parent to two children with his ex-wife, Elin Nordegren. The eldest, daughter Sam Alexis Woods, is a senior at the Benjamin School in Palm Beach County, Florida, according to the Palm Beach Post, and little brother Charlie Woods is also a student there. Also among the student body at Benjamin? None other than Kai Trump, one year behind Sam. Charlie, also a golfer, is two years younger.
Vanessa and Kai have attended some of the same golf-related events as Tiger, like a recent outing to a golf event at Florida’s SoFi Center, where Kai posted videos of Tiger swinging clubs on Instagram in support of an indoor golf league he founded. Tiger, Vanessa, and Kai were also photographed walking together at the Genesis Invitational tournament in February, with Kai wearing apparel from Sun Day Red, Tiger’s clothing line.
Tiger also has ties to Vanessa’s ex-father-in-law, Donald Trump. In February, he visited the White House and gave a speech in honor of Black History Month.
Tiger and Vanessa reportedly began seeing one another around Thanksgiving 2024, but have not made any public appearances together.
Vanessa has not publicly dated anyone since her divorce from Donald Jr., which was filed as an uncontested split. A source told People that Jr. is aware of the relationship between his ex-wife and the golfer, and is “cool” with it.
Representatives for Vanessa Trump and Tiger Woods did not immediately respond to Vanity Fair’s requests for comment.
