Officially unveiled at the We Are Ona pop-up during MATTER and SHAPE, Nordiska Galleriet (NO GA) and designer Willo Perron have released a collection of modular furniture.
Comprising a reconfigurable series of six tables and two mirror carefully finished with a high-gloss coating, the final product boasts a satisfying glaze akin to a candy shell. Both the Porthole Mirrors and Modular Tables are offered in five colors including white, gray, green, brown, and red.

While the pieces may evoke Space Age futurism, the pieces are completely handcrafted by artisans who specialize in fiber glass fabrications. After each piece is molded, they are manually coated and polished by hand.
On the modularity of the design Perron said “It’s not about committing to a huge system upfront—it’s about starting with one item that feels right and letting it evolve with your life,” in a statement shared by the gallery. Perron’s buildable approach is a fitting feature for the designer, who is well known for designing stage performances such as Beyoncé and Rihanna‘s most recent Super Bowl spectacles and Drake‘s tour sets. Such complex production designs as these require modular approaches for assembly and disassembly.

Perron brings this problem solving mentality to NO GA collection saying “If you change your couch or have a modular setup, a standard coffee table often becomes obsolete. The idea behind the collection came from wanting something modular that could adapt as you move or reconfigure your space.”
The Willo Perron x NO GA collection is available now at Nordiska Galleriet stores and at no-ga.com in Europe. In the US the collection will be available through Basic Space.
