The travel guide book publisher compiled a list of the best places in the U.S. to visit in spring. These spots will have good weather, blooming flowers, and lots of activities.

Lonely Planet named Central Texas the best destination for wildflowers, which bloom there in April.
California’s Central Coast was rated the best all-around destination by Lonely Planet, with not too much rain, no summer crowds, and plenty of wildflowers in bloom.
If you’re looking for a beach vacation where you can actually swim, the warm, shallow waters of the Gulf Coast are perfect in spring, according to Lonely Planet.
Chicago is known for its brutal winters, but it should also be recognized for its lovely springs, Lonely Planet said. Plus, the Windy City is famous for going all out for St. Patrick’s Day.
Adventurers looking for a place to hike and explore in spring should head to Utah, Lonely Planet said. Capitol Reef, Canyonlands, and Arches are all great national parks for a springtime visit.
If you didn’t get to go skiing this winter and still want a chance to hit the slopes, Lonely Planet suggests heading to Colorado, where some mountains have snow until May.
Lonely Planet said Miami was the best city in spring for cultural happenings thanks to its Carnival celebration and other music festivals that happen during spring months.
Head to Washington, D.C. for its famous cherry blossoms, which come alive between late March and April.
Lonely Planet said Tennessee’s state parks are the best destination for springtime camping, thanks to mild weather, blooming flowers, and lots of waterfalls.
