Willy Chavarria has released his “New York Collection,” a concise range of graphic essentials with NY-dedicated wordmark.
In Old English typeface “Willy Chavarria” arches over the brand’s rose silhouette logo with “New York” placed at the bottom of the graphic. The central emblem borrows from the brand’s recent Paris debut in February, after which he released a similar range of black and red Paris-branded sweats. However, this time Chavarria opts for “Navy” and an off-white “Tofu,” similar to the classic Yankees palette. Ranging from $95 to $250 USD, the lineup include a printed hoodie, two t-shirts and two embroidered snap-back caps.
Named CFDA’s American Menswear Designer of the Year in 2024, the Mexican-American designer often draws inspiration from vintage athletic and worker uniforms for his casual garments and ecclesiastical influences in his more directional designs. From his Paris capsule with adidas, to the Superbowl Half-Time Show capsule with Kendrick Lamar and his Human Rights Watch collaboration the designer has kicked off 2025 with more graphic-led collections than ever before. Chavarria’s printed essentials take a less is more approach, opting for clean statements without distracting finishes or embellishments.
The Willy Chavarria New York Collection is available now at the brand’s official web store. See the gallery above for a full look at the new campaign.
