Cecilie Bahnsen’s first collaborative collection with The North Face will finally be released this week. First showcased at the Danish designer’s SS25 show in Paris last fall, the collaboration embodies the spirit of exploration in a 7-piece, all-black lineup.
Drawing inspiration from The North Face’s archives, the garments merge Bahnsen’s hyper-feminine aesthetics with the practicality of techwear. Key offerings include the reimagined Mountain Dress, a sculptural reinterpretation of the classic Mountain Jacket and fresh takes on the Basecamp Duffel and Glenclyffe Boot. Designed with exploration and elegance in mind, the outerwear pieces work as protective layers over Bahnsen’s delicate cloud-like floral motifs, blending function, durability with a touch of femininity.
An official campaign has also been unveiled, starring 2024 Olympic silver medalist Brooke Raboutou, 2020 Olympic commentator and five-time UK national lead climbing champion Molly Thompson-Smith, alongside professional climber Solenne Piret. The campaign emphasizes on the connection between fashion and nature, showcasing the collection’s unique blend of style and functionality.
