If the days feel a little longer, hopefully that’s because they are: At least in the U.S., daylight saving time is upon us. That comes with losing an hour yesterday, but gaining an hour of light at the end of our days (which will eventually feel really good, and not just like you’re running an hour behind). Bless up!
While we wait for the sun to creep out for more and more of the day, why not fill our hearts and evenings with more TV, huh? This week’s list includes appointment television, in the oldest sense of the phrase, with John Mulaney’s new talk show premiering (as the name suggests) live at 10 p.m. EDT/7 p.m. PDT. But you might also find yourself a bit behind the cultural zeitgeist if you’re not watching the bombastic Invincible finale or Brian Tyree Henry’s return to TV.

John Mulaney is bringing his Everybody’s in LA talk show format to everyone. Technically, when it was streaming during the Netflix Is a Joke festival, his original talk show was already something anyone could watch, but the jokes (as you might be able to see from the clip of the LA version) were tailored to those in the know (and/or the greater LA metro area). Now, he’s doing a once-a-week talk show with hopefully the same offbeat format. Let’s see how it goes!
