Meryl Streep and Martin Short keep saying they’re not dating — but boy are they spending a lot of time together!
This time the non-couple rocked up to “Saturday Night Live” in the same car, according to TMZ. They previously were spotted sitting next to each other at the starry “SNL50: The Homecoming Concert” at Radio City Music Hall on Valentine’s Day, no less.
TMZ posted video of the “Only Murders in the Building” co-stars arriving at 30 Rock on Saturday night for the NBC comedy show, and the clip showed Short greeting a security guard about 10 minutes before showtime.
Streep, for her part, said hello to some fans outside.
And while there was no PDA between the stars, they continually are spotted at high-profile events as a duo.
In fact, the pair also saw the Broadway smash “Oh, Mary!” earlier the same night. We hear that Jennifer Lopez was at the same performance, along with “Ted Lasso” star and comedian Brett Goldstein.
The hysterical historical parody shared a video on its Instagram feed of Streep, 75, and Short, 74, as well as J.Lo and Goldstein, posing with the cast.
Rumors have been swirling that the stars of such classics as “Silkwood” and “The Three Amigos” have been dating for some time.
Last fall, they were seen together at the celebrity favorite Italian restaurant Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, Calif., arriving for dinner in the same car with Streep behind the wheel and Short riding shotgun.
They were also photographed looking cozy sitting together at the 2024 Golden Globes.
They’ve also seen further Broadway shows together, including “Merrily We Roll Along.”
Despite the speculation, reps have insisted they’re “nothing more” than friends, and Short himself told Bill Maher on the comedian’s “Club Random” podcast that they are “very close friends.”
