The South Carolina convict set to die by firing squad Friday chose Kentucky Fried Chicken for his last meal, which he shared with his death row buddies, according to his attorney.

Double murderer Brad Sigmon, 67, is scheduled to become the first US death row inmate to die by the unusual method in 15 years at 6 p.m. — who pleaded guilty to murdering his ex-girlfriend’s parents with a baseball bat in 2001 — chose death by firing squad over the electric chair or lethal injection.

Before being taken into the death chamber, Sigmon, who pleaded guilty to murdering his ex-girlfriend’s parents with a baseball bat in 2001, had “finger lickin’ good” KFC one last time, his lawyer, Gerald “Bo” King, told WYFF4.

“Brad is someone who, for his last meal, asked to get three buckets of original recipe Kentucky Fried Chicken so he could share with the guys he’s incarcerated with on death row,” King told the outlet, adding that Sigmon serves as an “informal chaplain” of the jailbirds.

In a last-minute bid to spare his client from the firing squad early Friday, King cited his personal connections inside the clink as evidence of his rehabilitation — and argued that Sigmon should have never received the death penalty because he was struggling with mental health at the time of the slayings.

But South Carolina’s Supreme Court rejected the plea, paving the way for his execution unless Gov. Henry McMaster commutes his death sentence.

The Republican will make his decision moments before the execution is slated to begin, but no Palmetto State governor has granted clemency in the 49 years since the death penalty was restored.
