After winning the 2024 Caribbean Cup, Cavalier skipped the opening round of the tournament and now faces their biggest challenge yet. A team known for its grit, determination, and fearless attacking play, Cavalier will need all of that and more to keep pace with an Inter Miami side that has been steamrolling through the competition.
Inter Miami made a statement in their opening-round clash against Sporting Kansas City, dominating over two legs with a 4-1 aggregate victory. With world-class talent and home-field advantage, Miami comes into this one as heavy favorites.
The question tonight is if their star player, Lionel Messi, will take the field after being notably absent on Inter Miami’s trip to Houston last week. They will still have Luis Suárez, who will hopefully have his partner in crime in Messi tonight.
Miami’s seasoned veterans Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba, and Cavalier will have their hands full from the opening whistle.
