The Traitors star Gabby Windey is always full of surprises!
Windey shocked fans when she announced she and her longtime girlfriend, comedian Robby Hoffman, secretly tied the knot with a chapel wedding in Las Vegas.
“Husband and wife!!” Windey wrote in a post shared on Instagram that shows the newlyweds celebrating during their private ceremony.
Speaking to Cosmopolitan, Hoffman and Windey revealed they got married in a 20-minute ceremony after fleeing the Los Angeles wildfires.
“We had just evacuated from the fires. Literally cue Rihanna, ‘We found love in a hopeless place,’” Windey told the outlet. “What better time to get married than right now? Because if the world is ending, we want to be with each other.”
Hoffman, whom Windey said has been trying to propose since they were three weeks into their relationship, had a friend make a crossword puzzle for the proposal. The happy couple then scored the “most expensive” wedding package the chapel offered – for $99 – and walked down the aisle together to Chappell Roan’s “H-O-T T-O G-O.”
While fans may know and love Windey from her storied time in reality television — whether she’s a faithful on The Traitors, a contestant on Dancing With The Stars or The Bachelorette — it’s high time to get better acquainted with her partner, who is a rising star in comedy.
Who is Robby Hoffman?
Hoffman is a stand-up comedian who has also worked as a writer, producer and actress in television.
She previously wrote for Netflix‘s comedy series Workin’ Moms, as well as the Baroness Von Sketch Show, Sherwood, and the kids series Work It Out Wombats! and Let’s Go, Bananas! Hoffman received a Daytime Emmy Award in 2019 for her work on PBS Kids’ Odd Squad.
Hoffman also hosted a comedy interview podcast, Too Far With Rachel Kaly and Robby Hoffman, that is currently on hiatus.
The comedian is currently on tour, but she also has her own stand-up comedy special, I’m Nervous. Her website notes she is currently developing projects with Showtime, Warner Bros TV and A24.
She is also slated to appear in the new season of Hacks. According to Hoffman’s IMDb, she is set to appear in 10 episodes.
Though the nature of her role is unclear, the Hacks Season 4 logline reads: “Tensions rise as Deborah and Ava endeavor to get their late night show off the ground and make history doing it.”
