After some teasing, Activision has revealed Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4. It will release on July 11 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It’ll be available for Game Pass Ultimate and Game Pass PC subscribers
Preorders of the game give access to a demo in June featuring the iconic Foundry level from Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and the Wireframe Tony Shader at launch. Preorders for the Digital Deluxe and Collector’s Editions give early access to the game on July 8. The Digital Deluxe version also gives some in-game goodies, including Doom Slaver and the Revenant as playable skaters.
The package includes remakes of the levels from the two games, but it also adding new stages. The reveal trailer shows off one set in an abandoned water park. Activision is also promising an “even sicker” soundtrack. The trailer featured “The Ace of Spades” by Motörhead, one of the most popular songs from the THPS3 soundtrack.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 came out back in 2020. It was a hit, but Activision seemed uninterested in a follow-up. Instead, it made developer Vicarious Visions a part of Blizzard.
Since then, Activision and the THPS series are now part of Xbox. Iron Galaxy is the developer behind the new remakes.
