Meghan Markle surprised a group of her loyal fans at a New York City screening of her new Netflix show, “With Love, Meghan.”
The Duchess of Sussex explained on her Instagram Stories that she wanted to meet some of the people who have supported her since she launched her now-defunct lifestyle blog, the Tig.
“OK, we have a big surprise in store for girls who have been following the Tig and everything else for so long,” she said while waiting behind the doors Monday night. “They don’t know I’m coming!”
Markle, 43, then walked into the small movie theater after the group watched an episode and asked them, “What’d you guys think?”
All the fans squealed while the “Suits” alum went around and hugged them. She even cradled one emotional woman’s face.
“The girls that have supported me for nearly a decade!” she captioned a post.
A few fans surprised Markle as well by getting permanent tattoos that read, “As Ever,” which is the name of her new lifestyle company.
The former actress was also gifted custom friendship bracelets for her and her children: son Prince Archie, 5, and daughter Princess Lilibet, 3.
Markle wrapped up her visit by taking a selfie with the dozen-plus fans and sharing a picture of the screening’s decor, which included crates of oranges and flowers under a banner for her new show.
“Thank you @netflix for hosting this magical evening! Only a few more hours to go,” she captioned the final snap ahead of the premiere.
Markle has been trying to get involved in the lifestyle industry ever since she launched the Tig in 2014. However, she shut down the website three years later in the midst of her romance with Prince Harry.
The duchess re-entered the lifestyle space when she announced the launch of her company, American Riviera Orchard, in March 2024.
However, she acknowledged nearly a year later that she had run into some trademark issues with the name, so she swapped it out for As Ever last month.
The company coincides with the launch of her Netflix show, “With Love, Meghan,” which dropped all eight episodes Tuesday morning.
The lifestyle series follows Markle as she hosts her family and famous friends and shares some of her favorite cooking, interior design, gardening and hosting tips.
