Just hours after Meghan Markle released all eight episodes of With Love, Meghan on Netflix, she announced that As Ever, her brand in partnership with the streaming company, is releasing its first eight products. On Tuesday, raspberry preserves, three types of herbal tea, honey, crepe mix, shortbread cookie mix, and edible flower petal “sprinkles” went up on the brand’s website, Asever.com.
Many of these products are mentioned in the debut season of With Love, Meghan. In episodes two and three, Meghan uses the flower petals to decorate sandwiches and doughnuts. In episode four, she shows off her personal recipe for homemade raspberry preserves—noting that the spread is only technically considered jam when the ratio of sugar to fruit is two to one. In the final episode, before Prince Harry makes his only appearance on the show, she prepares crepes for a brunch party.
“Developed in partnership with Netflix, the brand brings Meghan’s signature design aesthetic to life,” said a brand spokesperson. ”The debut As Ever collection showcases eight intentionally designed products, personally developed by Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, over the past year, drawing on her years of home cooking and entertaining. Each piece is created with love and care, and the brand will continue to evolve, introducing new offerings seasonally.”
The long wait for Meghan’s brand began in March 2024, when she announced that she would launch products under the name American Riviera Orchard. In February, Meghan took to Instagram to share that the brand would actually be called As Ever, due in part to concerns that the original name, a reference to a nickname for the Santa Barbara area where she lives, would limit her to products made nearby. The following week, she shared a few prototype labels for jam as a part of a vision board on her Instagram account.
Before Tuesday’s launch, the most clarifying information about what to expect from As Ever came from its active application with the US Patent and Trademark Office. According to the filing, which shows a logo in Meghan’s calligraphic handwriting, the brand has stated an intent to use their trademark on home goods, candles, gardening tools, downloadable audio and video, stationery, and more.
When Meghan announced the name As Ever, observers discovered that an Arizona photography business and a New York City clothing business were using similar names. In her trademark application, Meghan’s brand declined to register for a trademark for either clothing or photography services. The mayor of a small town in Spain also noticed the similarity between her town’s crest and the As Ever logo, featuring two hummingbirds and a palm tree. A source told Vanity Fair that the logo was designed to reference Meghan’s Montecito home and the hummingbirds were chosen because they are favorites of Harry.
