A Newark man allegedly stole just over $18,000 and caused $10,000 in damages during a string of robberies at 14 Dunkin’ Donuts locations across New Jersey in just two months.

Enajaim E. Bowman, 24, turned himself in on Feb. 24 after authorities identified him as a suspect during a weeks-long investigation. His spree stretched across Bergen, Middlesex, Morris, and Union counties.

Through December and January, Bowman allegedly broke into 14 Dunkin’ Donuts locations after hours and stole anywhere between $700 and $3,000 at each. At one location in Edison, he walked out empty-handed — but left behind $500 worth of damage, according to the Hackensack Police Department.

Bowman stole from every crevasse of the stores that he could, including safes, cash registers, and even managers’ offices, police said. He primarily made off with cash and gift cards.

He also attempted to hit a 15th store, but he was unsuccessful, according to Hackensack cops.

Bowman operated on a strict schedule, hitting three to four locations once every week or two, according to police. His prowl typically stretched from 1 a.m. to 3 a.m. and he allegedly brought home thousands each night.

Bowman’s pattern was clear and easily spliced together using security footage from the locations according to police. Detectives were able to link all 14 break-ins, which pressured Bowman to surrender to cops.

Bowman is currently being held at Bergen County Jail. He faces a laundry list of charges, including 14 counts of third-degree burglary, one count of attempted burglary, 12 counts of theft, and multiple criminal mischief charges, according to Hackensack police.
