Apple TV+ has given the greenlight to a second season of its debut German original Where’s Wanda?.
Starring Heike Makatsch (Love Actually) and Axel Stein (The Vault), the dark comedy follows the Klatts. Just as they thought their lives were finally returning to normal, their daughter Wanda (Lea Drinda) is caught seemingly red-handed, standing over a dead body. They will need to do everything in their power to prove her innocence and to avoid losing her again, as their investigation to find the real murderer takes them into the criminal underbelly of their sleepy suburban town.
Where’s Wanda? is produced by Germany’s UFA Fiction. It is one of a number of Apple TV+ non-English language shows, joining the likes of France’s La Maison and Spain’s You Would Do It Too. Yesterday, Apple launched Berlin ER, the German-language medical drama co-created by former emergency room physician-turned-screenwriter Samuel Jefferson.

Where’s Wanda? was created, written and executive produced by Oliver Lansley (Flack) alongside multiple award-winning executive producers Nataly Kudiabor (Arthur’s Law) and Sebastian Werninger (The Physician). The series was co-created and based on a story by Zoltan Spirandelli (Vaya con Dios). The first season of was directed by Christian Ditter (How To Be Single), Tobi Baumann (Faking Hitler) and Facundo Scalerandi (How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast)). Ditter also served as an executive producer.
