Fire Force is finally returning this year with its third and final season — nearly four years since its previous installment finished broadcast. A new trailer was unveiled at IGN Fan Fest 2025, which features a specially recorded message from Gakuto Kajiwara, who voices the anime’s main protagonist, Shinra Kusakabe.

Picking up from where Season 2 left off, the new installment will begin with “Obi’s Rescue Arc,” continuing the key plot from the original Atsushi Ohkubo manga. Following the assassination of Captain Hague, the White Clad moved to reshape the Tokyo Empire, forcing Company 1 to collaborate with them. Meanwhile, Company 8, confident in uniting the Fire Force under one banner, faces a crisis when Captain Obi is arrested by the Tokyo Army, prompting them to prepare for a battle against their own countrymen to rescue him and uncover the truth behind Spontaneous Human Combustion.

Also previewed in the trailer is “High Flame,” the new opening theme for the anime, written and performed by QUEEN BEE — a Japanese fashion punk band that has previously also produced theme songs for popular anime series like Chainsaw Man, Oshi no Ko, and Undead Unluck.

As confirmed in the trailer, the final season of Fire Force will air in two parts. Animated by David Production once again, the first cour will premiere in Japan on April 4, while the latter part is scheduled for a January 2026 release window. The anime will also be streamable simultaneously on Crunchyroll and Netflix, where it will be available to fans outside of Japan.
