How do you celebrate 5 generations and 100 years of design? According to Silvia Venturini Fendi, you look to the future. Faux fur, leather, and appliqué galore, Fendi’s Fall/Winter 2025 co-ed collection was a kaleidoscope of editorial finishings.

“I didn’t want to spend too much time dwelling on the physical archives. For me, Fendi 100 is more about my personal memories – real or imagined – of what Fendi was and what Fendi means today,” said Venturini. By honoring traditions of playfulness without relying on heavy replication of the archives, Fendi has set the stage for future generations to come.

The show opened with a classically elegant silhouette, a faux “mink” coat worn as a dress paired with contrasting satin peep-toe heels. In a particularly powerful ode to detail, a coated chevron dress aligns perfectly with the matching bag at its side. Further on throughout the collection, wool overcoats were accessorized with fuzzy baguettes and an eccentric beanie-meets-netted-fascinator combo, while shoulders were rounded and broadened across pleated leather and appliqué laden tweed. In addition to the iconic baguette, the Peekaboo received a fuzzy remix, and the infamous Spy Bag received a reissue, cementing them in the brand’s timeless lexicon.

For the men, partially detached asymmetric tuxedo lapels and floor-length fur stoles transported traditional Italian suiting into the subversive future. Unlike others’ monotone suits of recent seasons, many of the looks were punctuated by contrasting colors and textures including canary yellow, orange, lace, and beading. Where a suit felt too serious for the occasion, models also held giant stuffed Fendi dolls, poking playful fun at the familial characters (and keychains) that have helped define the brand.

The show was graced with a myriad of stars who turned out to honor the occasion. All-stars like Karen Elson, Irina Shayk, Alex Consani, and Gabbriette walked the runway. Meanwhile, the front row included the likes of Matt Bomer, Luca Guadagnino, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Sean Paul, who also did a surprise performance at the afterparty.
