Pharrell Williams and his digital auction platform JOOPITERare celebrating the artistry of Kim Jones. The designer recently announced he is stepping down as creative director of Dior Men and this auction is slated to celebrate Jones’ legacy, talent and unique eye as an avid collector of fashion, art and design.
Titled “The World of Kim Jones,” the auction features one-of-one samples as well as prototypes from Jones’ defining tenures throughout his career. From his time at Louis Vuitton to Fendi and Dior, Jones will reveal never-before-seen archives from his most iconic collaborations. Some of these will be show for the first time ever on the market and include collaborative pieces with Nike, Travis Scott, Hajime Sorayama, FRGMT and more. From his personal collection, Jones will also offer rare fashion pieces from Maison Margiela and Helmut Lang.
Amongst the offerings will include some of his most iconic works, including his Dior x Nike Air Jordan 1 High Sneakers, Dior x Travis Scott Tan Leather Double Saddle Bag, Dior x Kenny Scharf One-Of-A-Kind Runway Embroidered Shirt, and Louis Vuitton x Supreme Monogram Carpet.
The auction is set to be open online from February 27 to March 11. The full catalog is available for browsing online starting on February 26.
