What if Travis Kelce is just the apex Swiftie? No, listen. What do you listen to when you’re sad and want to feel better? Taylor Swift, obviously. Now, what did Kelce listen to after he lost the Super Bowl? That’s right, he listened to Taylor Swift.
On the February 26 episode of New Heights, Kelce’s brother Jason asked if Travis listens to sad music when he’s depressed. Such as after losing the Super Bowl. For instance, Jason says he listens to “sad country songs.” Travis, on the other hand, said, “I just listen to Taylor’s music. She has something for everything.”
Jason agreed, “That’s fair. That’s a good point. No matter what mood, you can find some Taylor music.” Added Travis, “And how the Eagles broke my heart.” Because the Philadelphia Eagles beat Travis’s team, the Kansas City Chiefs, at the big game.
We’re assuming, obviously, that Swift also offered her boyfriend some one-on-one comfort after his loss. You know, the kind that isn’t available to anyone with a Spotify account. That said, Kelce has made no secret of being his girlfriend’s biggest fan—and we know she has a lot of fans. Remember when Swift, during an acceptance speech at the VMAs, described Kelce cheering her on while she filmed the “Fortnite” music video? Or when she brought him on stage for a cameo during an Eras Tour performance? Or any of the many, many times that Kelce has gushed about his girlfriend on this very podcast? “Yeah, she’s on a whole other stratosphere. She’s the best at what she does for a reason. It’s because she’s so articulate and just very dialed into every single thing that she does,” he gushed in one The Hollywood Reporter interview.
Travis Kelce probably spends more time with Taylor Swift than any other person alive, and she’s still his go-to comfort music. Is this a sign of their true love? Possibly. Is it also a sign of just how powerful Swift is? Indubitably.
