British Fashion Council has announced that Brunello Cucinelli will receive this year’s Outstanding Achievement Award. The award will be presented by Pandora Jewelry at the Royal Albert Hall during The Fashion Awards on December 1, 2025.
Cucinelli is being honored for his outstanding contributions to both the fashion industry and Italian garment production. “Since the beginning of his career, he has been a pioneer in his use of cashmere and his approach to design, color, and fabric,” said the BFC. “While building out his company, he has maintained a deep respect for his employees and the human impact of his business.”
Born the son of a farmer in Castel Rigone in central Italy, Cucinelli soared to new heights reaching more than €1 billion EUR in sales for his namesake brand. Cucinelli also still serves as creative director, designer, and executive chair of the company.
As a fierce supporter of domestic production and preservation, Cucinelli undertook the massive project of restoring the medieval hillside village of Solomeo. Over the course of 25 years, the designer took care to preserve much of the historic architecture and return the village to a place of heritage, culture, and commerce.
Cucinelli will receive the award in good company. Past recipients include last year’s winner Tom Ford, Valentino Garavani, Tommy Hilfiger, Giorgio Armani, and Miuccia Prada.
