Netflix has announced a chilling new addition to its library.

Directed by Philip Barantini and written by Jack Thorne and series star Stephen Graham, Adolescence is an upcoming crime drama investigating the murder of a teenage girl. Uniquely, the series is “filmed in one unflinching continuous shot,” with each episode centered on “the main characters and the unparalleled drama as it unfolds in real time,” per the streamer.

Barantini told Deadline that “the camera is always following someone,” while Thorne noted that “it was very complicated to write.”

“I’m not allowed to cut away to go anywhere else,” Thorne added.

Adolescence sees Graham teaming back up with Barantini, who he worked with on 2021’s Boiling Point, a British restaurant drama, as well as on 2023 series follow-up of the same name.
