Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR‘s $ome $exy $ongs 4 U has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The 6God has now officially tied Taylor Swift and JAY-Z for the most No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 list as a solo artist.
The latest album launches its way to the top after moving 246,000 album-equivalent units in its first week. Billboard also reported that 25,000 units came from pure album sales. Drake is in good company, joining Taylor Swift and JAY-Z with 14 No. 1 albums in Billboard’s 69-year history. Currently, only The Beatles surpass the three artists with 19 total chart-topping albums. Following Drake, Swift and Hov, the next group of artists — Eminem, Future, Bruce Springsteen, Barbara Streisand and Ye — all have 11 No.1 albums each.
For PARTYNEXTDOOR, this album is his first No. 1. The album had 287.04 million on-demand official streams generated from its songs, marking the largest streaming week for any album since Kendrick Lamar‘s GNX debuted at No. 1 back in December 2024. $ome $exy $ongs 4 U is also Drake’s first album since his feud with Lamar. Prior to this, Drizzy’s most recent No. 1 was his 2023 album For All The Dogs. His most successful No. 1 album was his 2016 effort Views which topped charts for 13 weeks. Drake is currently on tour in Australia and New Zealand.
